Veterans, service members, military retirees and their dependents can save on prescription glasses and sunglasses year-round at 278 stores nationwide, with many pairs made on-site and ready the same day

DALLAS, Nov. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Veterans, service members and their families can take 20% off prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses at national optical retailer Eyemart Express ahead of Veterans Day on Nov. 11. The veteran and military discount never expires and can be used at every visit at all 277 Eyemart Express stores, where on-site lens labs can often have glasses ready within an hour.

The discount helps the more than 1 million U.S. veterans who live with low vision by covering the full purchase, including Eyemart Express’ everyday two-pair pricing. Thanks to on-site lens labs at Eyemart Express stores, a veteran can leave with an everyday pair of eyeglasses and a pair of prescription sunglasses on the same day they shop.

The discount also extends to military dependents, which is timely in November for Military Family Month.

“Veterans and military families have spent years putting everyone else first, so accessing affordable eye care shouldn’t be a hurdle after sacrificing so much for our country,” says Katy Hanson, Eyemart Express President. “That’s why our discount doesn’t expire. It is there every time they need it, not just on Veterans Day.”

Eyemart Express’ dedication to veterans and the military community extends beyond its stores. The national optical retailer partnered with the Veterans of Foreign Wars’ Unmet Needs Program to relieve financial burdens for 65 military families, providing $67,000 to help families cover emergency expenses to prevent homelessness, keep the lights on, and ensure access to doctors’ appointments. Eyemart Express has also donated vouchers for free glasses to Tinker Air Force Base and participated in the U.S. Army’s Partnership for Youth Success program, which guarantees soldiers a job interview for potential employment at Eyemart Express stores throughout the country.
