Automated marine terminal appointment data exchange with CargoWise TMS connects critical workflows across the drayage lifecycle
WiseTech Global (ASX:WTC)
LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, October 20, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — WiseTech Global (ASX:WTC), a leading developer of logistics execution software and supply chain technology solutions, has integrated its CargoWise Landside Transport Management Systems (TMS) with Dray Dog’s marine terminal appointment automation software.
Dray Dog, a CargoSprint company, automates the process of securing marine terminal appointments. Instead of dispatchers logging into separate portals, monitoring release times, and racing to secure limited slots, Dray Dog continuously retrieves available appointments and enables automated booking based on predefined parameters.
The integration allows dispatchers and customer service representatives to receive confirmed appointment details from Dray Dog’s automated process, including reference numbers, directly within the CargoWise Landside TMS solution: Trinium TMS, Profit Tools TMS, and Compcare TMS, removing duplicate data entry. This helps streamline operations to handle higher volumes with faster, more accurate port appointments.
“Every minute counts in drayage,” said Jon Steitzer, Head of Dray Dog. “We built Dray Dog to give truckers the best possible tool to manage appointments at every step of the container lifecycle. Connecting with CargoWise Landside is exactly the kind of partnership that solves real problems and delivers on our mission of helping drayage truckers win.”
A key advantage of the integration is the bi-directional data flow between Dray Dog and the TMS, which reduces the risk of missed or delayed bookings. The container and operational data is pushed out from the TMS to initiate scheduling, then pulled back in once confirmed, while updating loads and dispatch plans in real time. This helps ensure that all stakeholders, from dispatch to drivers, work from the same up-to-date information.
The appointment details also flow downstream to driver-facing applications, such as Trinium’s MC3 and Driver Mobile App, helping ensure that drivers have visibility into schedules without additional communication overhead.
Mark Rabens, Sr. Vice President of Transportation at Custom Goods & Quik Pick Express explained the productivity benefits for his team: “The Trinium TMS–Dray Dog integration has enabled us to automate the appointment scheduling process at the marine terminals in LA and Long Beach, saving time and money and improving our service levels to our customers, while booking earlier appointments which reduces supply chain lag.”
Dennis Lane, Head of Revenue for CargoWise Landside Solutions at WiseTech Global said: “This integration reflects a broader focus on connecting critical workflows across the drayage lifecycle—reducing friction, improving visibility, and enabling teams to operate more efficiently within a single system. The dispatchers and customer service representatives who typically schedule port appointments operate under very tight timelines. By automating one of their most repetitive and time-sensitive tasks, the Dray Dog integration delivers immediate productivity gains. We’ve had a strong partnership with Dray Dog for quite some time, and this integration brings even more value to our CargoWise Landside TMS customers.”
